When I first saw this work of art my first impression was, wow it looks so soft. I am so use to portraits that are embellished with backgrounds and the face is made up like wearing make up. This one is remarkable in a simple way, that does not mean the artist did anything wrong. It is just my first time to see a portrait that is so soft, it lifts the spirits of the person looking at this wonderfully light work. The woman strikes me as to be a Native American it is almost written on her face. I like the colour of her hair it is long and flows over her shoulder, and goes very well with the facial structure. The whole work is one that seems spiritual. The more you are in the presence of this work of art the more relaxing a person starts to feel. I feel the artist has chosen the colours so very well. The whole sum of this work is written on the smile of the portraits face.
