Hmmm.... I tell you one thing - You certainly do colours better than me (since I do aquarell pencils sporadically, so I guess I can't gain experience fast enough). The layout of the eyes is kinda, but it might be considered to move toward realism, since no face has two identical halves.
The thing that you certainly need most practice is the shading - it's best visible with the nose. It kinda look 2D here, and thus unrealistic. Putting shadows would at least an illusion of 3D here.
Also, completely white areas on the skin would show where the light falls directly - The easiest way to do this is to draw an arrow, pointing out where the light comes from. That makes shading much easier to accomplish.
