who said "Firstly, I got here from mirz-alt's journal!
As usernames go, mine's fairly self explanatory. Originally my name was upsguy1997, which was something I just made up quickly to check out dA. My daughter was the one who introduced me to the site and at the time she was much younger. Before allowing my kids to register on websites the deal was I got to go on and check it out first. I would occasionally check in to see what she was producing and quickly got caught up in the other art. After she encouraged me to post some of my flower pics, I was hooked! A few years ago, I got into making emoticons. It didn't take long to realize I'm about twice the age of most in that community, but really enjoy it none the less. When the opportunity came to change usernames without having to create another account, I jumped at it! Despite being almost 49 years old, I truly am a kid at heart, so it was an obvious choice.
Thanks for doing this btw, I'm loving going through and reading all the little background stories of the other deviants!"
